After printing, place the object in lukewarm water and the PVA will dissolve completely in a few hours, leaving a clean, smooth surface. The material is highly sensitive to moisture, so it must be stored in a dry place and dried if necessary.
Where to use it:
- For complex geometries requiring internal support
- For prints where manual support removal is impossible or risky
- For functional or demonstration models printed with PLA or PETG
Where not to use it:
- For high-temperature printing (e.g. ABS, PA, PC) – PVA cannot withstand these temperatures
- Storage in humid environments – it degrades quickly Advantages of FilamentOn PVA:
- Completely soluble in water
- Perfect support material for complex shapes
- Compatible with PLA, PETG, and some special TPUs
- Easy post-processing – no manual removal required
