Details

Polyamide-based materials tolerate prolonged mechanical stress well, making them an ideal choice for printing moving or loaded parts such as gears, bearings and fasteners. PA12 H is a harder type than traditional PA12. However, printing it can be challenging as the material is prone to shrinkage, so a heated bed and, if possible, a closed print chamber are recommended.

Where to use it:

  • For mechanically stressed parts
  • Flexible, wear-resistant machine parts
  • Prints intended for chemical and industrial environments

Where not to use it:

  • For simple decorative or low-stress prints
  • In open printers where the temperature cannot be stabilised

Advantages of FilamentOn PA12 H:

  • High strength and wear resistance
  • Chemical and oil resistant
  • More flexible than conventional PA12
  • Suitable for long-term industrial use

Additional data:
The spool weighs 230 grams. Recommended printing parameters for traditional printers (e.g. Ender 3, Prusa i3, Anycubic Mega):
  • Nozzle temperature: 240-250°C
  • Bed temperature: 70-80°C
  • Cooling: 0–20% (low airflow recommended)
  • Print speed: 40 mm/s
  • The use of an enclosed printing space is highly recommended, especially for larger prints, to reduce warping.
Recommended printing parameters for high-speed printers (e.g. Bambulab, Voron, Creality K1, Prusa MK4):
  • Head temperature: 260–275 °C *
  • Bed temperature: 70–80 °C
  • Cooling: 0–20%
  • Print speed: up to <120 mm/s if the printer has adequate thermal stability
*For high-speed printing, the required nozzle temperature may be higher than the maximum value indicated on the box.
