Development of custom raw materials
Extrusion-based 3D printing technologies (FDM, FFF) are now widespread and offer affordable solutions, but the range of available materials is often limited. Most commercially available filaments are PLA (polylactic acid) based, which is suitable for many purposes, but the range of higher value-added filaments for technical applications is much narrower.
Have you ever found that you couldn't find a suitable filament among those available on the market?
Perhaps you wanted to try out your own unique recipe, but couldn't find a reliable manufacturing partner?
FilamentOn offers a solution: our team has many years of experience in filament development and manufacturing and works with an extensive network of professional contacts and state-of-the-art machinery to provide our customers with truly customized raw materials.
- Custom raw material development from the ground up
The market for filaments intended for industrial and creative use often fails to meet specific needs. We help you get exactly the raw material you need – whether it's unusual colors, special textures, or the mixing of special additives. We are able to develop completely unique formulations, for example with wood, foam, glass fiber, or carbon fiber fillers, tailored to the desired mechanical properties.
During development, we work closely with our customers to ensure that even the first samples are close to the final requirements, and then, if necessary, we accompany the process from prototyping to series production.
- Small and large volume production
A unique advantage of FilamentOn is its flexible production capacity. Not only can we produce smaller quantities for testing or demonstration projects, but we also undertake large-volume contract manufacturing for our industrial partners.
This means that we help test recipes with small batches during the development phase and then ensure reliable, large-scale production with the finalised material. This flexibility is particularly important if the customer wants to quickly test their concept and then immediately move into series production.
- TDS (Technical Data Sheet) and documentation
For industrial materials, a technical data sheet (TDS) is essential, containing all the important properties and characteristics of the material. We are able to provide detailed TDS for the filaments we develop, including mechanical, thermal, and chemical parameters.
This is not only the basis for quality assurance, but also documentation that meets strict industrial and regulatory requirements. With TDS, our customers get an accurate picture of what a given material is capable of and under what conditions it can achieve its best performance.
- Manufacturability consulting and development support
Often, selecting the right material is not enough. We provide support early in the design process to ensure that the product being developed is optimally suited to the manufacturing technology.
This includes material selection recommendations, advice on geometric design, and optimization of printing parameters. With the help of our experienced engineers, typical design errors can be avoided, scrap rates can be reduced, and the final product can be of higher quality.
Consulting can also include prototype development, small-batch test production, and preparation for series production, saving our customers time, money, and energy.
Why choose us?
- Comprehensive development – we accompany the process from the initial idea to production.
- Flexibility – we are your partner for everything from small batches to mass production.
- Expertise – many years of experience and extensive knowledge of materials.
- Quality documentation – TDS and technical specifications available on request.
