PLA is one of the easiest filaments to print with. It is produced from natural sources, plant derivatives. Contrary to popular belief, it does not decompose in soil, but only begins to decompose at the right temperature and in the right environment (industrial compost). It can be printed at low temperatures (200-220°C) and does not necessarily require a heated bed.
Usage: It can be used for all the same purposes as our ecoPLA raw material. If the product is heat-treated after printing, it can be used to make objects exposed to higher temperatures, replacing the use of ABS, ASA, PETG, etc.
Not recommended: Most PLA is not suitable for technical applications due to its relatively brittle behavior and low UV resistance (it degrades, fades, and begins to crack when exposed to UV light). For this reason, we do not recommend it for manufacturing products with thin filigree parts, as sharp pieces may break off.
Filamenton HT PLA is an easy-to-print, extremely high-quality filament with the following advantages:
- Derived from natural sources,
- Good interlayer adhesion (low anisotropy),
- Domestic production and development.
